Brooklyn-based no-wave / post-punk outfit Gustaf have dropped their latest cut, ‘Starting and Staring’. It’s a relentless three-minutes, propelled forth by angular guitar lines and the driving force of a bass + drum accompaniment. It’s a dizzying track made all the more special by Lydia Gammill’s increasingly intense vocals, which are matched by a kaleidoscopic music video that mirrors this shift in tone. Their new album, Package Pt. 2, follows on from their acclaimed 2021 release Audio Drag for Ego Slobs, as well as tours with Idles, Sleaford Mods and Yard Act. It drops on April 5th, 2024. -Dan Peeke
